Ilya 'Dutch' Lichtenstein and his wife Heather 'Razzlekhan' Morgan don't exactly look like a pair of criminal masterminds. If the pair were famous for anything, it was probably her dubious rap career and the assorted weird videos they posted on social media.
But appearances can be deceptive. They may have looked like hipster weirdos, but Ilya was actually a talented coder who in 2016 helped hack the Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange, syphoning off 120,000 bitcoins. By the time the cops caught up with the pair in 2022 - in an apartment crammed full of foreign currency, fake passports and bling - the value of the stolen virtual cash had ballooned to skywards of $4 billion.
Told through interviews with the investigators and archive footage, the story behind the theft and Lichtenstein and Morgan's attempts to launder their jaw-dropping gains makes fascinating viewing in a film from the director of Fyre and Bad Vegan. (77 minutes)
